Mesh yummy

Updated: Apr 9

MESH - is a mixture based on a mix of crushed oats, bran and linseed.

Its beneficial effects could probably be written as a doctoral thesis, but to put it briefly, it has a beneficial effect on the horses' stomach, as well as on their fur, skin and hooves. It is recommended for all horses, and its regular administration has a miraculous effect, especially for horses recovering from intestinal inflammation, horses with stomach ulcers, dull fur, purulent skin lesions, etc.

We give the mesh to horses 1 to 2 times a week as an additional meal.

Below I am sharing my recipe for mesh, which is quantitatively composed for horses at rest or in light work and, as I mentioned above, is a supplement to the all-day menu.

  • 1 scoop of crushed oats

  • half a measure of bran wheat | spelled or rice

  • 1 cup (about 200 g) of ground linseed

  • a handful of sunflower seeds

  • carrot 2 pieces

  • raw or dried apple

  • a handful of dried bananas (optional)

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

I pour boiling water (about 1 l. of water) over ground linseed and leave for at least 15 minutes to *gluten*. I pour oats, bran and other products into a bucket and pour the prepared linseed over it. If the final mixture is too thick, feel free to add a little boiling water. Serve the mixture cooled!!

Of course, there are ready-made instant mixtures available on the market, which are worth reaching for if you lack the time and desire to create your own meal compositions, which you can develop depending on the culinary taste and energy needs of your unicorns.

Enjoy!
